It has been a while since Nokia has been claiming that they intend to make their Lumia range irresistable with an array of exclusive applications. And if rumours are to be believed, that might happen soon with Instagram finally taking to Nokia's Windows Phone, i.e. Nokia Lumia 920. The Finnish tech giant recently posted a promotional video for Nokia Lumia 920 that includes a vague view of Instagram for Windows Phone. The video sees the application running as a live tile on the handset's screen with comment and like information, a feature similar to the one seen in Instagram. Instagram is a popular photograph sharing application for Android and iOS. Though the live tile seen in the promotional video could also be Vimeo's new app, sources insist that it is a possible Windows Phone version of Instagram.

Though Instagram will not invest in its development, the image-sharing application will be available for the Windows platform despite Facebook's $1 billion acquisition of the service. Well, that wouldn't really be a surprise since earlier Microsoft also developed its own applications for Twitter and Facebook. What remains to be seen is if Instagram will also support Windows Phone 8's camera lens functionality that will take the joy of taking pictures a step further. The Lenses app integrated into the Windows Phone Camera app will pull up image related softwares and proceed further as you fancy, straight from the camera application. With WP8 offering such cutting-edge technology, it will be worth the wait to see if Instagram will take on the functionality that the latest Window provides.
