Vespa's New Colours!

Given the taut competition in India's two-wheeler market, the race to have an edge over others has made the competition much more fierce. And in this race, the Italian two-wheeler manufacturer, i.e. Piaggio is ready to play its move to attract the PYTs of the nation with the iconic Vespa. Piaggio has readied a new line-up of Piaggio Vespa LX125 with the addition of girly variants to the Vespa family. Expected to be announced during the upcoming festive season, the Italian company basically added to new colours, i.e. pink and orange, to attract more attention from the girls of the country. Other than the new colours, the scooters will feature no other change. The third generation of the iconic Vespa returned to the Indian market in April 2012, and was received quite well by the brand-conscious Indians.

This, despite the fact that Vespa LX125 is the most expensive scooter available in India. However, what gives the vintage-styled Vespa LX125 such a 'unisex' appeal is its smaller dimensions, as compared to its contemporaries, namely, Honda Aviator, Suzuki Access 125 and Hero MotoCorp Maestro 110. With a growing number of players in the segment targeting the fairer sex, the news of Vespa LX125's girly variants is outright fortuitous. Yamaha recently launched its women-oriented scooter, i.e. Yamaha Ray, taking the tally of scooters for women to a total of four, which also includes TVS Scooty Pep , TVS Scooty Streak and Hero MotoCorp Pleasure. But what really helped Vespa score better is its iconic appeal in addition to its stylish retro looks. Hopefully, the new variants will help Piaggio maintain, in fact better their stance in the Indian market.
