Sony, the world technology giant, is ready to launch Alpha 77 in India, which, as claimed, features fasted 12 fps burst shooting for interchangeable lens camera with APS-C size sensor, not just in its class of devices but also in the world. Sony along with all its key features like redeveloped 19-point autofocus system, enhanced Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor (24.3 effective megapixel resolution) and newly developed BIONZ image processor, sensitivity range of ISO 100–16,000, shutter speeds up to 1/8000 has added to the camera world’s first XGA OLED Tru-Finder which provides the best resolution, contract and responsiveness to any EVF possible. 2,539 dots XGA resolution provides sharp, bright images with no harm done to edges of the pictures, rivaling the performance offered by very high priced pro-grade cameras.
The camera provided in Sony Alpha 77 is also the world's first interchangeable lens camera to offer a fully articulated 3-way adjustable 3-inch Xtra Fine LCD screen, which is able to offer a significantly high resolution and TruBlack technology for extra-ordinary color and contrast. The gap between the protective outer glass and LCD that lies underneath is filled with resin in purpose of surface reflection reduction, improved visibility and accurately reproduced deep blacks.
Users will now be able to film in both interlace and progressive scans due to the faster speed of the new BOINZ processor. P/A/S/M, all variety of modes are available during video recording, giving the users all the control that would be needed, may it be a simple home video or a cinematic masterpiece. The model is rugged with system-wide dust and moisture resistance and a robust magnesium body that can survive really long hours of shooting.
The same resistance to dust and moisture is maintained with the camera even when it is placed with the new SAL1650 standard zooming lens, HVL-F43AM flash unit, VG-C77AM vertical shooting grip or other optional accessories. Sony has also announced two other cameras in the Alpha series which are to be launched in Indian market are Alpha 65 and Alpha 57. Sony Alpha 77 is priced in India at Rs. 69,990 and when combined with 16-105 mm lens, the camera is priced at Rs. 99,990. The other models of Alpha 65 and Alpha 57 are listed at Rs. 59,990 and 45,990, respectively.
