Samsung is rushing with the launch of its next generation flagship smartphone, that is, Galaxy S5, much in advance than scheduled. This is to offset the huge shortfall in the sale of Samsung Galaxy S4 and the company was not sure if the other two new products, that are, the universally panned smartwatch and the curved smartphone, will be able to make up for the deficiency created by Galaxy S4. It is a bit too early to predict Samsung Galaxy S5 price, though it would be more than Galaxy S4.
Though the sales of Samsung Galaxy S4 has been weak, reports say the company had a record-shattering Q3 2013 earnings that constituted a profit of around $9.2 billion in which Galaxy S4's contribution was huge. There are other models of Samsung phones too that are available in the market at present like S4 Mini, S4 Active and S4 Zoom and the most popular Galaxy Note 3. This could be one reasons for the slackness in the expected sale of Galaxy 4 smartphone. The launch of Apple iPhone 5S and 5C in the same month, could also be a reason why Samsung has decided to re-schedule Galaxy S5 launch. The device may have a 64 bit octa-core Exymos processor. It is also grapvined to boast a 16MP rear camera with OIS, replacing the 13MP camera provided in Galaxy S4. It is also likely to introduce the first 3GB low-power DDR3 RAM chip for mobile devices. With the new RAM, the smartphone will provide a faster speed and better multi-task capabilities. The design of the phone is expected to be thinner and have a better battery life than its precursor. It will run on the latest Android KitKat operating system, with a user-friendly and highly advanced user interface.
With the features and specifications not yet confirmed, the next generation Galaxy S5 is assumed to re-define the smartphone experience and will take it to a new level.
