Leading electric peripheral company LG has showcased its first OLED HDTV quite before the happening of CES event. Consumer Electronic Show is considered as the best platform for electrical companies to showcase their forthcoming products among the audiences. However, LG has not revealed much about the features of OLED HDTV, but according to authentic sources, it is a 55 inches TV supported by '4 Color Pixels' resolution, including an additional while pixel color to the RGB triangle of blue, green and red.
Besides this, it is also enhanced with color refinery technology which involves specific algorithm that is used to enrich audio quality of television. By far, LG has only produced 47 inches TV, the LG 47" Full HD LED 47LV3730 TV and LG 47" Full HD LED 47LV5500 TV. This 55 inch screen HDTV will definitely make it worthy. The new OLED HDTV will carry infinite contrast ratio supported by enriched response time which is 1000 times much faster than existing LED and LCD panel. The material used for production of panel is based on oxide TFT technology which reduces the cost of production, therefore on this basis, it can be anticipated that price of OLED HDTV from LG will not be much higher. The other special features revealed about OLED HDTV include just 4 mm thick bezel screen weighing even lesser than 7.5 kgs.
It is not known that whether new OLED HDTV will be blessed with 3D feature or not, especially the FPR feature, as nothing much has been depicted so far from LG regarding this. Moving towards the OLED technology, it would be important to mention that this technology comprises of carbon based technology that utilizes thin organic films between two electrodes for image transmission without any support of backlight to creating brighter image. Earlier this technology was used only in manufacturing of MP3 players, mobiles and various other devices which were enriched with small viewing screen. With advancement in technical features, TV manufacturers have now started using OLED technology. However, earlier also few OLED televisions have made their presence in market but due to their high prices they have not been appreciated by the consumers.
