There is some exciting news related with Microsoft’s next creation Windows Phone 8. According to reports Microsoft’s Windows phone programme manager Mr. Joe Belfiore has revealed some interesting and important information regarding upcoming Windows Phone. Reports depict that the new Windows Phone 8 which has been named as Apollo is an upgraded variant from Microsoft’s operating system installed in mobile handsets which integrates Windows 8 Kernel as integrated in its elder sibling Windows Phone 7 which was designed on Windows CE platform. It is reported that the new Windows Phone 8 will carry the same operating system followed by same version number and user interface applications.Other adorning feature assimilated in Windows Phone 8 include microsoft’s hereditarily web camera application. The new phone will also carry Skype application which after installation will serve intensive features.
Shifting towards hardware configurations, the new Windows Phone 8 will facilitate the first time users with multi-core processor. It is important to mention that from multi-core processor Microsoft meant multi-core processor and not dual or quad-core processor. It is also speculated that Windows Phone 8 will carry feature of microSD flash card port. Apart from this additional features assembled in Windows Phone 8 include new data management system which will maintain the record of data downloaded. This application will maintain the record of data recorded via Wi-Fi and by using inbuilt web browser like opera mini and Internet explorer.
As far as other expected features to be integrated in phone are concerned, it is anticipated that it will be assimilated with Near Field Communication (NFC) in operating system. Besides file transition it will also facilitate the users to make their mobile payments through their mobile phone. Keeping the needs of businessman’s needs, the new handset has been incorporated with full device encryption with bitlocker which at present is available in Microsoft’s personal computers.
