RIM had announced this limited period offer on December 28, and within the short span of 4 days, company had sold out almost 12,000 devices in market. Detailing the features adorned in BlackBerry Playbook, it adorns 7.0 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen which is equipped with different memory storage capacity varying from 16 to 64 GB, supported by 1 GB RAM. The phone does not support external memory card slot to enhance its memory storage capacity. Energized with BlackBerry operating system and dual core 1GHz Cortex-A9 processor for fast access to various applications. The device is powered by giant battery of 5300 mAH and adorns dual camera of 5 mega pixels and 3 mega pixels to carry out applications like photography, video recording and video conferencing.
It is integrated with inbuilt HTML5 and Adobe Flash web browser for access to an Internet. It supports connectivity Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB port. With all these features and extended discount offer, it is anticipated that sales of BlackBerry Playbook will further enhance by end of this extended period. According to industry statistics, the company had already sold out all variants of 16GB and 32GB variables during this period of four months.
