Apple Reveals Siri Updates for new iPad

Apple has revealed a number of new and exciting features that would power its popular application Siri in the new iOS 6. The most formidable part about this application is that the user would be able to launch any application directly with Siri, something that was not facilitated with iOS 5. Another feature that the app offers is local search facility, that can now be put to use globally with compatibility with new languages which unfortunately does not include any Indian language. Siri also has an official partnership with Rotton Tomatoes as the application would now be able to take out any movie review along with their trailers.

The users would also be able to get all the necessary info about all the restaurants located nearby with the help of integration with Yelp and OpenTable. The company has also taken a step forward in taking matters into their own hands by introducing its own application for maps instead of depending on Google. These new maps would come powered by Siri integration. The company has demonstrated turn-by-turn navigation along with real-time updates. Apple has instilled another new feature in there maps by the name of Flyover which is nothing but the 3D maps displayed in real time. Google has already exhibited the same last week. The company has also claimed that it has 3D models for cities all over the world.

There would also be live traffic updates whose info would be received from anonymous users. Now, what is important for the Indian consumers is that not all the features would be available in the country for example turn-by-turn voice navigation in Google maps would not be available in India. All these features and updates that the new Siri would facilitate would come with the upcoming iOS 6. iOS 6 would be available with the new Apple iPad that is due to launch this year.
