Looks like the Indian subsidiary of the Russian telecom major, MTS is all geared up to carve their niche in the country. Case in point, the launch of three new Android smartphones, which comes after the launch of the powerpacked MTag 401 in June. Christened MTag 351, MTag 352, and MTag 281, these CDMA handsets will definitely woo the gadget loving folks with their wide range of features, and also the data and voice offers that come along with these. The technical specifications of these handsets are meant to impress, and how! Available in Spicy Red and Bluish Black, the first one of the lot, i.e. MTag 351, sports a 3.5 inch 320X480 pixel display. Loaded with a 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and a 1300 mAh battery, the handset also sports a 3.0 megapixel back and a front VGA camera. And all that for just Rs 7,499. And the bundled offer also includes 1GB data at HSD, and then unlimited data at 1X, and also unlimited local MTS to MTS calls per month for 3 months from activation, with a free recharge of Rs 492.

Next up in line is MTag 352. Priced modestly at Rs. 6,499, the handset shares most of its features with the MTag 351, excluding the HVGA display, 1400 mAh battery, but is missing the front VGA camera. The specifications of the bundled data and voice plans are also the same as that of the MTag 351. And finally, the last offering of the recent launch is MTag 281. Though the handset maybe a tad bit small in size compared to the other two, it nowhere lacks in features. With a 2.8 inch 240X320 QVGA display, this one also uses the same processor, and the 3.0 megapixel rear camera. The only difference is the 1200 mAh battery and the data and voice plan which includes 512MB data at HSD, then unlimited at 1X, and all local calls at 1p/2sec for the first three months from activation. The MTag 281 is available for Rs 5,499.
